After months of testing, here are SEO strategies that genuinely improved my blog traffic:

Focus on long-tail keywords — Less competition, more targeted traffic
Improve page speed — Google ranks faster sites higher
Internal linking — Helps Google crawl your site better
Update old posts — Refreshing content boosts rankings fast
Mobile optimization — Most traffic is mobile now

What SEO strategies are working for you in 2026?

One thing I would add is focusing more on search intent rather than just keywords. I’ve seen pages rank better when the content clearly matches what the user is actually trying to do, not just what they typed.
Also, building some level of topical depth helps. Instead of isolated posts, covering a topic from multiple angles seems to improve visibility overall.
Curious if you noticed more gains from updating content or publishing new posts?

Nice list — especially the point about updating old content, that’s still underrated in 2026.

One strategy that actually worked really well for me (and gave faster ranking improvements) is topical clustering combined with intent-focused content.

Instead of just targeting individual keywords, I built a small content ecosystem around one core topic. For example, I created a main “pillar” page targeting a broad concept and then supported it with multiple related articles (long-tail keywords), all internally linked in a structured way.

But the real boost came when I aligned everything with search intent. Not just keywords — but what the user actually wants. For instance, when working on finance-related content, I didn’t just target general salary keywords. <snip> This made the content much more useful and helped it rank faster because it matched what users were searching for.

Also, adding:

Clear examples
Updated real data
Simple calculators or tools

…made a big difference in engagement and rankings.

So in short:
Don’t just write posts — build a topic authority around a niche
Match content with real user intent (not just keywords)
Go deeper into subtopics like <snip> instead of staying generic

This approach helped me see more stable and long-term rankings compared to just basic SEO tweaks.
