I need some SEO help. I have set up my website (if I am allowed to, I will post the URL or the name) and I had some PDF files there. So, I went to the Google Search Console and did all I could think of. I remember adding a custom file suggested by the website listed steps. I remember setting up some sort of DNS setting.

Here is the deal, though. It is a next.js project and the hosting provider is <snip>. Maybe that has something to do with its poor performance. is there some way I can check on this?

Anyway. I went through the process of adding links, but the graphs on the Google Search Console shows almost no progress. Please advise. I can post more stuff, like the emails I have been getting. But I guess this is a good start.

Sorry, complete, we do not offer site reviews in the public forums and we don't evaluate hosting companies. We do not post emails here, you can tell us what kind of information you are seeing in those emails, but the Terms of Service [webmasterworld.com] tell you
9. Email excerpts of ANY type or length are not allowed on WebmasterWorld. There are no exceptions to this rule

Let's try to talk about what steps you've taken and whether there are more than 13 pages you wanted to index. The screenshot you've posted shows 10 pages are indexed. Are you blocking anything from Google via robots.txt? It looks like normal progress for the first 4 months shown in your screenshot.

First thing — hosting is almost never the reason for “no progress” in Search Console unless your site is constantly down or painfully slow. So I wouldn’t jump to blaming Next.js or your provider yet.

A few things to check:

Are your pages actually indexed?
Search: site:yourdomain.com in Google.
If nothing shows (or very little), it’s an indexing issue — not a performance issue.
What does GSC → Pages say?
Look at “Crawled – currently not indexed” or “Discovered – currently not indexed.” That tells you way more than the performance graph.
PDF files:
Are they internally linked from actual HTML pages? Google rarely ranks standalone PDFs unless they’re well-linked and useful. If they’re just uploaded and sitting there, they won’t move.
How old is the site?
If it’s new (under 3–4 months), “almost no progress” is pretty normal. GSC graphs don’t magically move because you verified DNS or added a file — that just proves ownership.
Links:
When you say you “went through the process of adding links,” do you mean internal links or backlinks? Because backlinks take time, and low-quality ones won’t move the needle.

Right now this sounds more like either:

Not enough crawlable content
Weak internal linking
Or simply a very new site

If you’re allowed, post the URL. Without seeing it, we’re kind of guessing.

Start with indexing status first — that’s usually where the real issue shows up.

Hello Atif and welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

You might have noticed that we do not allow site reviews in the public forums. There are private forums where an URL can be shared: [webmasterworld.com...] - but that is in our Supporters Forums.

I would honestly be completely unmotivated to try and launch a new site in 2026 if I was hoping or relying on Google organic traffic as my source of traffic. I would rather cut and paste any and all my content/ideas straight into Gemini and tell it to eat it and thus bypass myself stress and hosting costs to feed it via my site while paying for the privilege!
